July 7th 2005

Shattered, broken bodies
lie across the ground,
the wailing of the sirens,
and screams, the only sound,
accompanied by silence,
of the shock and disbelief,
as slowly, survivors emerge,
from the station, underneath.
Bloodied , bruised and battered,
their bodies and their brain,
these walking victims of,
the bombed out, London,
tube train.

Terrorism strikes again,
on a sunny day,
at people on their way to work,
and children out to play.
There is no rhyme or reason,
to the targets that they choose,
but freedom, peace and justice
dictates, that one day,
the terrorists will lose.
