The following poems and pictures have been produced by me, to raise funds to help restore
ex GWR Heavy Freight locomotive 2874.
2874 is one of the 28 xx heavy freight locomotives designed by George Jackson Churchward for the GWR.
She was out shopped in November 1918 and, after loyal service to both the GWR and BR, was sent to Dai Woodham’s now famous site, at Barry island .

She was saved, and eventually bought by the Dinmore Manor Locomotive group, together with 7820 , Dinmore Manor which is now back in steam and both are based at GWR Toddington.

Collet variant of the 28 xx class, 3850, also in steam and based at WSR Minehead and 3845,
still in Barry condition.

2874 will be celebrating her centenary in 2018 so there is some pressure to have her well on the say to being steamed again by then.

Framed copies of these photos A4 size can be bought from The Flag and Whistle at Toddington

I will split the profit between The 2874 restoration fund and The GWR's Bridges to Broadway .

Unframed A4 copies and 5" x 7" cards can be obtained directly from me ( at a price) or from The Dinmore Manor sales stands at various locations as and when.

Thank you the pressure is on sales and donations will help a great deal
