Beach Combing

Their harvest is a different kind,
as the sea gives up its all,
white suited men walk the beach
and it’s not for fish they trawl.

A thousand, or may be
so many more,
lay across the beach,
natures lesson of her power,
one she oft does teach.

But arrogance and vanity,

make us forget her power,
until she awakes and roars her name
and then we run and cower.

Our power is petty, when we compare,
when will we ever see,
 respect for her world
and work with her,
in perfect harmony.
